WHAT ARE WE WORKING ON?
APRIL 2018 - JULY 2018
We will be working on the theme of 'our body' through craft, activities, song/rhymes, stories and carpet time. We will focus on our senses of taste, touch, smell, hearing and sight. We will continue exploring welsh language and number.
Healthy living - food and exercise will continue to be promoted.
Information about weekly and daily activities can be found on the notice board in the entrance foyer and on the white board in the main hall.
All children have been assigned key-workers and their groups are colour coded and placed on notice board in the foyer. If you have any questions please see Ceri or your child's key worker.
MILLIE AND WESTIE BEAR
Our beloved bears are sent home with a different child on a daily basis. Children are invited to talk to the group about their activities with the bears the following day. Please look after their belongings and return them intact so that all children can benefit from this.
WELSH SING-A-LONG AND ACTIVITY SESSION
We have had two out of three sing-a-long and activity sessions through the medium of Welsh. The third and last session will be taking place soon. We have also benefited from being provided with some Welsh language resources including books.
We now have a booklet of some of the songs we sing in playgroup. Copies are in the foyer.
We also have our own special 'Millie and Westie' bear song which the children are learning:
Millie and Westie teddy bear, got no worries, got no cares
Millie and Westie teddy bear they learn and play all day
They come to Westend Playgroup to see the girls and boys
They come to Westend Playgroup to learn and play with toys
Please see a member of the team if you want to hear the tune!
